Ways to help the musuem

  • Come in and pick up your gift—a tree ornament. It shows and tells the story of the WWI Christmas ceasefire in no-man’s-land, when German and Allied troops put down their guns, sang Carols, and even played soccer together on Christmas Day (great for educating the young ones in your family).
  • Packages of 10 cards/envelopes with the same WWI Christmas pictures & story are also for sale: $10.00 per package. Proceeds support the museum’s mission to Honor our veterans, Educate our citizens, and Preserve our proud military history, beginning with World War I.
  • Honor Wall plaques to pay tribute to your currently-serving service member or a veteran in your family are available for $100 (3” x 6”) or $200 (4” x 8”). Order your plaque now to have it mounted before Christmas. Stop by for an order form or visit www.theveteransmuseum.org and type “Honor Wall” into the search field.

NEW TO THE MUSEUM: Experience the new professional-produced videos in our galleries: each gallery has a 6-7-minute video which tells the story of each conflict “Through Their Eyes,”—the eyes of our local service members. These provide education learned through touching tributes.

Admission is free. The museum is located at 21 East Main Street in Brevard, next to the courthouse. or call 884-2141 for more information.
