Seven veterans will receive patriotic, handmade quilts from Blue Ridge Quilts of Valor on Saturday, March 7 at 10:30 am. This one-hour ceremony will be held at the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas to honor our veterans. The public is invited to attend and to be present at the ceremony and show support and appreciation of our veterans and for their service.
Quilts of Valor throughout America have presented 246,625 patriotic sampler quilts since they began in 2003. A national organization that make quilts to honor veterans throughout the United States and in Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Open hours are Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Admission is free.
