On Wednesday, May 22, at 6:00 pm, the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas will show U-571. A team based on a U.S. submarine is sent on a mission to capture a German U-Boat intact, in order to steal the Enigma Machine (German code generator). This will enable them to learn the German orders and positions. They complete the missions, and then things go wrong…..
We experience a claustrophobic and terrifying environment inside the submarines and during the battle scenes. Matthew McConaughey leads the star acting team with Jake Webster and Harvey Keitel following with equally impressive performances.
Bring your family and friends to the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas at 21 East Main Street (beside the courthouse) for free popcorn and an action movie that’s interesting and entertaining. Please call 884-2141 for more information, to purchase an Honor Wall plaque to honor your veteran, or to schedule a museum tour for your group.
Admission is FREE to the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas. It’s open Wednesday – Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
