Taking their “show on the road”, three volunteers from Brevard’s Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas participated in Liberty, South Carolina’s Veterans Day weekend event, “A Salute to Veterans: Honoring All Who Served”. In Liberty’s Pickens County Performing Arts Center, Emmett Casciato, Phil Davis, and Mike McCarthy displayed items from Brevard’s museum for visitors to see. Their display included uniforms, artifacts, medals, insignia, WWII-era newspapers, and ash from the World Trade Center’s fall on 9/11/2001. Visitors to their display included Liberty High School’s Army JROTC unit as well as residents from all over the Carolinas. The museum’s volunteers invited all to visit Brevard and come to the museum.
