The Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas invites you to visit before our last open day in 2019, which is Sunday, December 8. After winter inventory, artifact cleaning, and renewal of displays, the museum will re-open Wednesday, Feb. 5.

2019 has been an active year for the museum. The total visitor count since the its August 2017 opening has been more than 15,000 people; local, regional, and from all over the United States and several foreign countries. The museum serves as both a frequently-visited space for local veterans to spend time with other veterans and an event and exhibit space to honor all service members.

A highlight this year is the special exhibit “Women in the Military”, which will continue through December 8. The exhibit features a display of women’s uniforms, photographs, medals and mementos beginning with WWII, as well as books and magazines from the war years.
