This one-of-a-kind quilt will be raffled as a fund-raiser for the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas’ capital campaign. “Bravery, Honor, and Valor” is a patriotic sampler measuring 66” x 73”.

This original design, which is primarily red, white, blue, tan, and gold, was created by Flat Rock, NC quilter Didi Salvatierra and Friends in the Western North Carolina Quilters Guild.

Its center features a masterfully stitched American Eagle head by professional machine quilter Maryanne Gilbert. This unique quilt was generously donated to the museum to raise funds for its capital campaign to build a larger, permanent building. The new building will house the museum’s growing collection of artifacts and provide space for educational opportunities and events.

Raffle tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. The winning ticket will be drawn on Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2019 at 1:00 at the museum. No need to be present to win. Please visit the museum (see open hours below) to enjoy a first-hand look at quilt on display.

Tickets may be purchased at the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas at 21 East Main Street, Brevard, NC (next to the courthouse). To have tickets mailed to you, please call the museum at 828-884-2141 Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.
